FIWAL is an organization created over twenty years ago, by five women in London who realized that moving abroad can be very lonely for women, whether accompanying their husbands or working on their own account. Back then, many national groups had their own social clubs, but there was no connection across these clubs. FIWAL was formed to help these separate clubs to communicate, associate, and share their cultures and ideas.  FIWAL now includes over 30 international women’s groups in the London area, providing a forum for the exchange of information, ideas, and expertise among its member organizations. AWBS is a member association of FIWAL, so our entire membership is eligible to participate in FIWAL’s special events and days out.  Details of these events will be communicated to AWBS members.
