Welcome to the UK! Now that you've boxed up all your belongings and placed them on a big boat to cross the ocean, it's time to focus on your new life in England. We're glad you found our website and hope you are interested in joining AWBS and discovering all we have to offer.
The crazy thing about living an ex-pat life, is that most families disappear over the summer to their home country. For AWBS, this means a limited schedule of activities and a hiatus of sorts until our first Monthly Meeting of the year on the first Tuesday in September.
So what do you do if you've just arrived in the UK and you're desperate for some new friends and playmates for your children? Or you can't figure out where to buy school uniforms or which tube gets you to Picadilly? Never fear! We will do our best to help.

Don't wait until the first general meeting - you don't want to stand in line and spend time filling out your details. Plus, if you join now, you will receive our Common Ground Annual Guide before the meeting - and it has great information for newcomers that you will be grateful for!
Once you join, your details will be passed on to our Area Buddy Coordinator. She will give you an Area Buddy who will help you navigate your way through AWBS and England. An Area Buddy can be a big help before you arrive too - a great resource for all the questions you have about this foreign country. If you arrive in the summer, Piumie will do her best to find an Area Buddy who is also around to help.
Once you are a full member, you will have access to all areas of our website, which includes classifieds - great for newcomers to purchase used items from our members who are moving on.
