Volunteering in Your Local Community

Volunteering in Your Local Community

AWBS members volunteer in many ways across their communities. Here are some ways to find a role that matches your location, interests, skills, and time commitment.

Local Opportunity - Virginia Water

Sunrise Senior Living is looking for volunteers who would like to share their special skills with residents, for instance somebody who is very good with computers could share her knowledge and teach our residents how to work with the computer - or help with iTunes. A beautician who is not able to work in the UK might consider to give manicures on a regular basis, a compassionate gardener might want to assist our garden club. Specifically looking for a person who would like to help a nearly blind resident with her crossword puzzle and somebody to take residents out for a short walk. Also, would appreciate it if any of your musical members would come in and just play the piano occasionally. Contact Hetty de Vries, Activities Assistant
