Wed 14 March -  An exclusive Charity Private View to the The Affordable Art Fair. Tickets to the Private View  benefit the different charities each year, this year it will be St Mungo's.  Tickets cost £25 and are also valid for the entire Fair which runs from 15 - 18 March. Held at  Battersea Park, London SW11. Artwork to suit every taste and pocket on offer at this popular fair. 120 galleries will exhibit paintings, sculpture, photography and original prints - all priced between £100 and £4,000.

Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th March Sports Relief,  an initative of the Comic Relief. Run a Mile or participate in other games and sports. Funds go to initiatives and projects that help to create real and lasting change and ultimately work towards transforming the lives of poor and vulnerable people in the UK and across the world.

Mid March Red Nose Day is a day like no other when the country gets together to do something funny for money and change countless lives in the process (N.B. not on in 2012) . It all culminates in a live TV show on the BBC with some of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment. All the fun and mayhem helps to raise cash and transform lives across the UK and Africa. Red Nose Day is an initative of the Comic Relief Charity funds year-round initiatives and projects that help to create real and lasting change and ultimately work towards transforming the lives of poor and vulnerable people in the UK and across the world.

27-29 April,  Swimathon, the world's largest charity swimming event, takes place across the UK in nearly 600 pools. Funds raised go to the Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Swimathon Foundation.

5 May 7.00pm to 1.00am Olympic Heroes Fundraising Ball for Christopher's Smile. Venue the Wentworth Banqueting Hall. The evening will commence with a drinks reception followed by a specially selected 3 course dinner. Saturday 19th May   - Meadow Madness, Christchurch Meadows, Reading (part of the Reading Children's Festival) Support AWBS ABc to read's stall and story telling. Also circus shows and workshop, climbing wall, rides and inflatables.

Saturday 19th May, 2012, Open Day at Sebastian's Action Trust 's The Bluebells, Popham Lane, North Waltham. A chance to come and view the fantastic facilities at the holiday respite house.

Sunday 20th May, 2012 Crown & Tiara Jubilee Walk, Windsor. Family-friendly Jubilee themed event and walk 7 or 13 miles through Windsor and the Crown Estate.

 

Sunday 3 June June 1-5.30pm - Garden Party Royal Holloway, University of London. An annual event in aid of the Mayor of Runnymead's three local charities. Craft and local community stalls, children's activities and shows, music, raffle and talks. Tours of the Picture Gallery and Victorian buildings. Cream teas and BBQ.

9-10 June  2012 Nightrider event - a cycling challenge taking place in London. The 100 km bike ride will tour the capital's most famous landmarks, including Tower Bridge, London Eye and the Royal Albert Hall to name but a few. Ride for Surrey charity Eikon.

Third week in June Midnight - Midnight Walk for Ladies Only. 10 mile loop around West Byfleet, Weybridge and Brooklands to raise money for the Woking and Sam Breare Hospices.

Early July - Black Cherry Fair. Join White Lodge Centre at this annual fun-filled family event. Come and support us at our stall whilst enjoying the fairground, arena events and music. All are welcome to wave and cheer at the ‘Musicals' themed float as it passes through the town in the procession.

Early July - British London 10K Run
The Official ASICS British 10K London Run attracts runners from all over the world, including current Olympic and World champions, who run shoulder to shoulder with charity fun runners and fitness enthusiasts. Runners sought to help raise essential funds for White Lodge Centre. Registration fee £20 / Minimum sponsorship £250. Early September  - White Lodge to White Cliffs Cycle
Led by an experienced and friendly Ride Manager, this two day cycle ride coves 120 miles from White Lodge Centre in leafy Surrey to the iconic and spectacular White Cliffs of Dover in Kent. This challenge will include parts of the 2012 Olympic Road Race route, the beautiful Surrey Hills and North Downs and an overnight stop in the classic spa town of Tunbridge Wells, before the final push to the coast through the lovely country lanes of Kent. This is a moderate cycle ride suitable for keen cyclists, and less experienced riders looking for a challenge!

mid September 2011 - Adidas Women's 5K London Hyde Park (Run for White Lodge Centre)
The Adidas Women's 5K Challenge is a fun run for women of all ages taking place in Hyde Park, London. This is one of the biggest women-only fun runs in the UK. Third Sat September 11.00am-4.00pm - Eton College Community Fair  - The fair is a unique combination of town and gown - a special day devoted to fund raising not just by the boys of Eton College but also by the 60 or so outside charities who run stalls to raise money for their own funds. Attractions include bands, a mini-funfair and a huge jumble sale in School Hall. Support ABC to read's stall at Eton with books, games.

Early  October, 2011 - Quest Riding for the Disabled Sponsored Ride, the major event to raise funds towards of livery costs and other costs of ponies. Early October, 10-4 Surrey Second Hand Rose Designer Clothes Sale in aid of the Children's Trust. All you have to do is go through your wardrobe and take out any items that you don't want (and are new or nearly new and still in good condition).
