AWBS Philanthropy

AWBS has a long tradition of supporting local charities and in the past two years has donated over £20,000 to the following:

•    Your Sanctuary – (formerly Surrey Women’s Aid), offers emotional and practical support to individuals who are experiencing or have experienced, domestic abuse. Your Sanctuary plans to renovate family rooms where abused women and children can stay for up to six months.  https://www.yoursanctuary.org.uk/

•    Bracknell and District Parkinson’s – provides help for people with Parkinson’s in the Bracknell and surrounding areas. Our donations help fund hydrotherapy, physiotherapy and massage. http://www.bracknellparkinsons.org/home

•    The Clubhouse Project - A Life Skills Day Service for young adults with learning disabilities that offers a unique personal approach to independent living. TCP needs funds to help support a dance program, swimming lessons and theatre trips. http://www.clubhouseproject.org.uk/

•    Support 19 - Makes grants to individuals and organisations to support young adults with special needs to access activities, including provision of equipment and facilities. AWBS will help raise funds to buy a bubble wall and hammock swing to help young adults relax. http://www.support19.org/

While AWBS has done a tremendous job of supporting our charities financially, we are now working with them to develop volunteer opportunities.
