The day:
Start -- 11:00 Meeting point outside the building
Royal Procession -- 14:00 The Royal Landaus, led by four Windsor Greys, approach along the famous Straight Mile. It's a short but spectacular journey that since 1825 has signalled the start of the Royal Meeting. We will also have access to the Queen Anne enclosure which is exclusive to the AWBS so you get to see every aspect of Royal Ascot.
End -- 19:00 You can leave anytime from 3pm onwards, however the gathering at the band stand for the singalong at 6pm is highly recommended.
The marquees:
The Village Enclosure’s trackside gazebos promise a unique Royal Ascot experience and some of the best views in the house, its lawns offering a unique perspective of the Royal Procession and racing from the centre of the course.
We have two of our own covered, picket-fenced garden gazebos adjacent to the final furlong, with Ascot’s iconic Grandstand providing a magnificent backdrop to proceedings on the track. Bring your own lavish picnic and prepare for a memorable day of socialising and world-class sport. Those that want to enjoy our drinks package can do so for £15pp which will be bubbles, white and red wine and Pinms and lemonade. More information will follow but if you did fancy a tipple it’s a good idea to go for this package, as a single glass of fizz at Ascot is about £20!
We also have access to a private bar with betting and restroom facilities within easy reach. Access to our gazebo is overseen by a Royal Ascot steward.
We also get to enjoy access to the Queen Anne Enclosure where we can see the horses in the Parade Ring, view the Winners’ Enclosure and join in the traditional singing around the Bandstand.
